The failing step is the lookup-replace in citgm's npm project download, which rewrites ava's registry metadata into github:avajs/ava/archive/v8.0.2.tar.gz and then runs git ls-remote on it. Reproduce by running citgm ava (or the lookup logic alone) and compare the output against npm view [email protected] repository, which gives a git+https URL that works. Done means ava 8.0.2 downloads through the same path as 8.0.1, with a test covering the github: shorthand case.
