Steps To Reproduce
After booting the Nextcloud VM, the virtual network interface is down. I need to manually run this commands before it starts working:
The issue appears to be related to network initialization or DHCP configuration in the VM image.
sudo ip link set ens32 up
sudo ip addr add 192.168.1.2/24 dev ens32
sudo ip route replace default via 192.168.1.1
After applying this configuration, the VM can successfully ping the LAN and reach the Internet.
This confirms that the virtual network adapter and VMware Workstation bridged networking can provide connectivity when the interface is configured manually.
Could you advise how to diagnose the missing network initialization or confirm whether this is a known issue?
