Línea de trabajo

Start with the linked roadmap item and CONTRIBUTING.md to understand the upgrade path and the project's contribution process. Identify the migration from the pre-0.3.0 configuration location and the other compatibility code introduced during 0.x; the issue does not name specific source files or tests. Done means tests keep line coverage at or above 90%, the README and touched lib/ headers are updated, CI passes on the listed platforms and Node versions, and the roadmap item is ticked.

Descripción

enhancement

Roadmap: Hardening and release candidate

Keep the migration from the configuration location used before 0.3.0, document it as the only supported upgrade path, and drop any other compatibility code added during 0.x.

[!NOTE]
The maintainer leads this item. Comments and suggestions are welcome.

Done when

  • Tests cover the change, and coverage stays at or above 90% of lines
  • The README describes the change, and the header comment of each touched lib/ file is up to date
  • CI passes on Windows, macOS and Linux with Node 22, 24 and 26
  • The roadmap item is ticked

The milestone is done when: Two weeks pass without new bugs that would require changing the public interface.

Comment here before starting, so the issue can be assigned to you. See CONTRIBUTING.md.
