Línea de trabajo

Start with drivine/cypher/sql/oracle_cypher_compiler.py, especially element at line 554, head/last at 918–919, and _through_text at 538; compare the described Drivine4j fix. Port the cross-engine two-row contract test and the Oracle SQL test in OracleItemPropertyTest. Done means long text list items are read whole across three reads in one session, while Postgres, SQLite, and UNWIND behavior remain unchanged.

Descripción

bug

Port of liberation-data/drivine4j#388.

What happens now. On Oracle, a list item read by its place is taken out as JSON_QUERY(list, '$[$i]' PASSING … AS "i" RETURNING JSON). If the item is a text longer than 32 KB and the statement returns two or more rows, the session crashes with ORA-03113 (ORA-00600 [17114] / ORA-07445 in the alert log). This is the same server bug as #255. These shapes all hit it: split(n.text, ',')[i], head/last of such a list, and an item of a stored list property (n.tags[0]).

At origin/main 4cf6083, in drivine/cypher/sql/oracle_cypher_compiler.py:

  • element at :554 builds the JSON_QUERY … RETURNING JSON read.
  • head/last are at :918-919.
  • split at :1164 builds the long list.
  • _through_text at :538 is already there to reuse.

What the drivine4j fix does. It reads the item through the list's text where the item is a text:

CASE WHEN JSON_VALUE(l, '$[$i].type()' PASSING i AS "i") = 'string' THEN JSON(JSON_QUERY(JSON_SERIALIZE(l RETURNING CLOB), '$[$i]' PASSING i AS "i" RETURNING CLOB)) ELSE JSON_QUERY(l, '$[$i]' PASSING i AS "i" RETURNING JSON) END

head and last get the same form with '$[0]' and '$[last]'. throughText takes a path and an optional PASSING clause, and a private listItem helper uses it. UNWIND is left as it is, because JSON_TABLE's item is fine. Postgres and SQLite are unchanged.

Tests to port:

  • The cross-engine contract test "a text past 32 KB that is an item of a list, read by its place on two rows, is read whole". It runs three times on one session.
  • The Oracle SQL test "an item of a list read by its place is read through the list's text where it is a text", in OracleItemPropertyTest.
