The MCP server never says the library changed, so a client's slash commands only catch up with favorites after the client restarts.

What to do

  • The server watches the library's PRAGMA data_version, as the app does, and sends notifications/prompts/list_changed and notifications/resources/list_changed when it changes. It declares listChanged for both in its capabilities.
  • LibraryChangeMonitor lives in Prompuff.Infrastructure, which the CLI already uses, so reuse it.
  • When the tools change, as when Let AI tools add prompts (#32) is switched, send notifications/tools/list_changed too.
  • Settle a change once a burst of saves is over, so a bulk edit doesn't send a hundred notifications.
