Línea de trabajo

Read docs/recipes/README.md and the ECS services view PR to locate AwsClients, EcsServiceInfo, and the services view. Add the Application Auto Scaling client, fetch scalable targets once per refresh, and match ECS resource IDs to service rows; test matching IDs that do and do not match. Done means the range, -, and ? states display correctly, docs and a changeset are included, and the listed Rust checks pass. Start after issue #151 is merged.

Why

Each Fells service scales on request count between a min and a max. Without the range, you cannot tell whether running at 2 tasks is normal or the ceiling.

Steps

  1. New crate aws-sdk-applicationautoscaling. Add the client to AwsClients.
  2. Call describe_scalable_targets with service namespace ecs once per refresh. Resource IDs look like service/<cluster>/<service>; match them to EcsServiceInfo rows.
  3. Add scaling_min and scaling_max (Option<i32>) to EcsServiceInfo and a scaling column (for example 1-4, or - when not autoscaled).
  4. If the autoscaling call fails, the column shows ?, not -. Test the matching function with a resource ID that does and does not match.

Where to look

  • the ECS services view PR

Done when

  • Column shows the range
  • Matching function tested
  • Docs and changeset
  • cargo fmt --all, cargo clippy --all-targets -- -D warnings, and cargo test --all pass, with output pasted in the PR

Check against AWS

Optional. Unit tests are enough for this issue.

Blocked by
