The issue asks for a way to read the signature of functions registered on a Scheme, so start from the Scheme type and the FieldRef and ListRef accessors it mentions as the existing way to inspect data. Settle the API shape first (function name, argument types, return type) because the two comments and the open design question have not decided it. Done means a public method returns that signature for a registered function, with a test that checks it.

Hello.
It would be great if a Scheme could have a way to expose the function signature of the registered functions.
It is useful in situations where the engine is being integrated into other applications. E.g an UI interface can suggest functions to use based on the definition and argument types of the function.
Currently with the help of FieldRef and ListRef it is possible to get required data but functions remain opaque.
