Línea de trabajo

Start by locating the handwritten and generated command entry points and their current output helpers. Compare how normal, quiet, JSON, and NDJSON modes route messages, then identify the snapshot-test structure needed for success, warning, failure, cancellation, and non-interactive paths. Done means both command types share equivalent output structure without decorative text in machine-readable modes.

Descripción

enhancement priority: p2

Problem

Handwritten commands use a mixture of raw console output and structured UI helpers, while generated commands follow a more consistent lifecycle. The result is inconsistent indentation, progress states, error presentation, quiet-mode behavior, and stream selection.

Expected behavior

Define shared output primitives that both handwritten and generated commands can use for:

  • sections and progress lifecycle;
  • informational messages, warnings, and errors;
  • copy-friendly commands and code blocks;
  • normal, quiet, JSON, and NDJSON modes;
  • consistent stdout and stderr routing.

Acceptance criteria

  • Representative handwritten and generated commands produce the same output structure for equivalent operations.
  • --quiet suppresses nonessential status output.
  • JSON and NDJSON output contain no decorative terminal text.
  • Code snippets remain directly copyable.
  • Snapshot coverage includes success, warning, failure, cancellation, and non-interactive paths.
