The payload names no source files. Start from the hosted activities list, where the View and Manage actions already appear on each card, and add a Delete action beside them. Then trace how an activity's sessions, enrollments and tags are related so deletion can clean them up. Done when a confirmed delete removes the activity and its records, a non-host is refused, and enrolled participants are notified. The notification mechanism is not specified, so confirm it with a maintainer first.

Problem

Currently, hosts can view and manage their hosted activities, but there is no straightforward way to permanently delete an activity from the hosted activities list.

Proposed Solution

Add a Delete button to each hosted activity card so that hosts can permanently remove activities they no longer need.

The functionality should:

  • Display a Delete button alongside the existing View and Manage actions.
  • Ask for confirmation before deleting an activity.
  • Allow only the activity's host to delete it.
  • Remove the activity and its associated data, including sessions, enrollments, tags, and related records.
  • Notify enrolled participants when an activity is deleted.
  • Update the hosted activities list so the deleted activity no longer appears.
Expected Behavior

When a host confirms deletion, the activity should be removed from the database and disappear from the hosted activities list. It should remain deleted after the page is refreshed.

Unauthorized users should not be able to delete activities they do not host.

Acceptance Criteria
  • A Delete button is available for hosted activities.
  • A confirmation dialog appears before deletion.
  • Only the activity's host can delete it.
  • The activity and its associated records are cleaned up appropriately.
  • Appropriate error messages are displayed if deletion fails.
