Description

We should do some testing of how stable the save data values are, especially for those that average gaze point or head pose measurements.

Definition of Done
  • Try different values for the sampling interval (seconds) - currently set to 0.5 seconds
  • May want to write out a file of all the measured speed values, to assess if the overall mean etc is representative
  • Try different implementations for GetSpeed. Currently, we take successive pairs of values and calculate the distance (accounting for sign), meaning that small jitters will be represented in the overall distance measure. Equally this means that changes in direction aren't averaged out. We may want to compare to just adding all values together.
  • Assess if number of falls in ZeroGravity is sensitive to teetering on the edge of the in-range zone. i.e. if they are wobbling quickly in and out - is this measured as many falls? Do we want to have a time limit, so that something can't be counted as a fall until at least X seconds after the last one?
  • Make sure buffer sizes are large enough, so that we have enough data for our sampling interval
  • Double-check we are happy with how time when the player is un-detected by the tracker is handled
