Línea de trabajo

Start with features/ipfs, hooks/use-ipfs-upload.ts, and hooks/use-ipfs-fetch.ts; trace how records are written and read. Add versioned schemas for run and circuit records, then validate at both boundaries and handle unversioned legacy records and unknown versions explicitly. Done when valid records round-trip, invalid records cannot publish, and tests cover valid, invalid, legacy, and future-version fixtures.

Descripción

enhancement helia storage tier-1

Summary

Define Zod schemas with a schemaVersion for run and circuit records and validate on publish and on read.

Estimated size: M

Motivation

The run payload is currently the raw job object; shape changes would break old CIDs' readers silently.

Current state in this repo

  • Records are the API job object, written by hooks/use-ipfs-upload.ts and read by hooks/use-ipfs-fetch.ts.
  • Zod is already a frontend dependency.

Proposal

  • Add RunRecordV1 and CircuitRecordV1 schemas under features/ipfs.
  • Validate before json(helia).add(...); on read, parse and show a clear message for invalid or unknown versions instead of crashing tables.

Acceptance criteria

  • Invalid records cannot be published.
  • Reading a record with an unknown schemaVersion shows an actionable message.
  • Existing vault items without a version are handled by an explicit legacy path.

Out of scope

  • Signing records.
  • Changing what data runs contain.

Dependencies

  • None; can be picked up independently.

Testing plan

  • Schema tests with valid, invalid, legacy and future-version fixtures.

Part of #43. Ground rules for the content layer: no secrets in the repo, content-layer failures must never block or discard quantum execution, and tests and docs ship with every PR.
