Descripción

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

Many IPTV (Xtream) accounts allow only a few connections at once, and are often shared across devices or family members. ARVIO can open several connections to the provider at the same time for a single viewer, and when the limit is reached the panel disconnects the other devices.

What I measured (network capture on a Google TV emulator, compared with the provider's Connections page), on a movie the provider has in several versions (plain, 4K, FHD):

  • Opening the Details page: no connections.
  • Opening the Sources list, without playing anything: ARVIO sends a tiny background check to 5 sources at the same moment and keeps 4 connections to the video server open for 20+ seconds. The panel counts them as active connections (3 rows at the same second, about 11 s each).
  • Pressing Play: the same background check on 3 sources, at the same moment as the actual playback, so 4 connections at once.

On an account with max_connections = 3, that is enough to kick everyone else off.

Target Platform(s)
  • Android TV / Google TV / Fire TV
  • Android Mobile / Tablet

Feature Category
  • IPTV / Live TV (EPG guide improvements, channel management, Xtream / M3U)
  • Player & Playback (ExoPlayer, gestures, PIP, audio passthrough, speed controls, codecs)

Describe the solution you'd like

A per-playlist setting such as "Max connections: 1 / 2 / 3 / Unlimited", or simply "Use a single connection", so that ARVIO never has more than that number of requests open to the provider at the same time:

  • no background checks of IPTV sources;
  • whatever is playing is closed before anything new is opened;
  • secondary requests (e.g. seek thumbnails) are skipped when they would exceed the limit.

The default could come from max_connections in player_api.php, with the user able to set a lower value, since the account may be shared.

Describe alternatives you've considered
  • Disabling the IPTV VOD integration avoids the problem, but removes IPTV movies and series from ARVIO entirely.
  • Dedicated IPTV players such as OwnTV read max_connections from the panel and only open a stream when playback starts.

Compliance & Policy Check
  • I confirm this request adheres to ARVIO's source policy (i.e., it does not request hosting copyrighted media, bundling pre-loaded pirated streams, or distributing illegal playlists).
Additional Context

Tested with ARVIO v2.3 (GitHub Releases APK) on a Google TV emulator (Android 16), Xtream playlist, VOD movies in .mkv and .mp4.
