Memory leak until the system freezes

Empieza por reproducir la fuga habilitando la extensión de PowerShell en VS Code y revisando los logs adjuntos; el issue también enlaza a la guía de troubleshooting y a un issue relacionado de VS Code. Rastrea el crecimiento de memoria de la extensión desde los puntos de entrada disponibles de PowerShell Editor Services y verifica después que la memoria deje de crecer hasta que el sistema se congele mientras la extensión siga habilitada.

Summary

Every time the extension "PowerShell v2024.3.2 (pre-release)" is enabled, the memory usage goes up until the system freezes. When disabling the extension, there is no issue. Same issue with the release version "Powershell 2024.2.2".

Steps to Reproduce

Every time the extension "PowerShell v2024.3.2 (pre-release)" is enabled, the memory usage goes up until the system freezes. When disabling the extension, there is no issue. Same issue with the release version "Powershell 2024.2.2".

Simply enable the extension, open VS Code and wait for the RAM to be fully consumed. No coding required.
