Línea de trabajo

Start with SessionBuffer.getExistingSession({ profileId }) and the worker code that resolves sessions for server-like user agents through the profile-to-device index. Confirm that the index is skipped when profile_id equals device_id, then check whether a fallback lookup by the profile ID as device ID returns the right session. Done when server events for such profiles are stored with the active session's session_id and device_id, and other profiles still resolve through the existing index.

Descripción

When a server-side event is sent with a profile ID that is also used as its device ID, the /track API can find the active session and return its session ID. However, the event may be stored with an empty session_id and device_id.

The worker handles server-like user agents by resolving the session through the profile-to-device index. The session buffer does not create that index when profile_id and device_id are equal, so the worker cannot find the session—even though it exists under the device key.

Suggested change
In SessionBuffer.getExistingSession({ profileId }), if the profile index is absent, try looking up the session using the profile ID as the device ID. Return it only when the stored profile_id and device_id both match the requested profile ID.

Expected result
Server-side events for a profile whose ID equals its device ID are stored with the active session’s correct IDs. Other profiles continue to resolve through the existing profile index.
