The failing path is the -FindImageFile selection in Start-OSDCloud, which lists a local .ESD under X:\OSDCloud\OS and then throws an Incorrect Function error. Start with the image-selection and file-handling code in the OSD PowerShell module, then reproduce by placing a custom .ESD in that folder and running Start-OSDCloud with -FindImageFile. Done means the selected local image deploys without error, and the -ImageURL path keeps working.

Descripción

Something has changed in the most recent releases. I'm no longer able to select a custom image file using -FindImageFile with Start-OSDCloud.

I'm using OSD to create a custom BOOT.WIM file which is then deployed using Microsoft WDS.

I have a custom .ESD file in X:\OSDCloud\OS folder, it displays it as a selectable option and then after I select it, I get an Incorrect Function error. See attached screenshot.

I've tried deleting and recreating my workspace and it still remains.

If I use -ImageURL and -OSImageIndex pointing to the file on a webserver it works fine. But it slows down the install process as it has to download file and then extract it versus already having the file baked in as part of the boot.wim and only having to decompress it.

Can this functionality be fixed?
