Línea de trabajo

The issue names frontend/src/components/webhooks/WebhookModal.tsx. Read the URL input and submit button handling there, then check the linked pull request #1681 to see how the work is already being addressed. Done means invalid and non-local HTTP URLs are rejected with an inline error and the submit button stays disabled, while HTTPS and loopback URLs are allowed.

Descripción

drips-wave forms frontend good-first-issue security

Overview

In frontend/src/components/webhooks/WebhookModal.tsx, users registering a webhook endpoint can enter insecure http:// URLs or malformed strings before submitting to the backend.

Problem

  • Production webhook deliveries require https:// (except http://localhost in local development), causing form submission errors that could be caught immediately on the client.

Proposed Changes

  1. Add client-side URL validation in WebhookModal.tsx checking that the URL parses via new URL() and uses https: (or http://localhost / http://127.0.0.1).
  2. Render a helpful inline error message below the input when an invalid URL is entered.

Acceptance Criteria

  • Rejects invalid URLs and plain http:// non-localhost endpoints before submission.
  • Allows https:// and local loopback addresses for testing.
  • Submit button remains disabled while the URL is invalid.
