Context

Any URL the app doesn't know (for example /taks) silently redirects to /login. If you're logged in, the Login page then sends you on to the Dashboard. Either way, nobody is told that the page they asked for doesn't exist.

  • New: client/src/pages/NotFound.jsx
Acceptance criteria
  • Unknown URLs show a "Page not found" page instead of redirecting. The URL in the address bar stays as it was.
  • The page has a short message and one button: Go to Dashboard when logged in, Go to Login when logged out (use useAuth()).
  • It matches the app's style (dark background, same fonts and button style as the Login page).
  • / still redirects to /login as it does today.
How to test
  1. Logged out, open http://localhost:3000/nothing-here: the new page shows, with a button to Login.
  2. Log in, then open http://localhost:3000/tasks/oops: the page shows, with a button to the Dashboard.
  3. /, /login, /dashboard, /tasks and /profile all behave as before.
