Description of the desired feature
There is something I stumble upon occasionally: I have a data set that I was to fit, but I want to reject some of the data at the far end of the x or y axis, e.g. outliers or data outside a certain time range.
In trend1d I can concoct something with -e but that is far from efficient. I would think that allowing -R to set the bounds would be a logical and simple addition.
Are you willing to help implement and maintain this feature?
Yes, I can commit to working this out, first in trend1d and then extending this further to sample1d and filter1d.
I'm open to suggestions about other modules that could get the same treatment.
