Start from the Addons repository's own index and submission conventions to see what metadata an addon listing requires; this payload names no file, test or exact change. Then check the linked CADWiz repository and the referenced package allow-list request to understand what is being proposed. Done means a maintainer has enough information to decide whether and how CADWiz should be listed, not that a newcomer has edited code.

CADWiz -- your smart CAD buddy for FreeCAD. 🧙‍♂️⚙️ https://cadwiz.app

I started CADWiz a few months ago as a hobby, to build an idea that was beyond my own
CAD skills. It grew into a free, open-source "superpower" addon for FreeCAD, and I'd
like to keep improving it with the community.

Describe what you want in plain words and CADWiz builds it -- brackets, enclosures,
knobs, lures -- as real, editable FreeCAD parts (PartDesign bodies, constrained
sketches, named dimensions), not a dead-end mesh. It works through the AI assistant
the user already has, Claude Desktop or the ChatGPT desktop app, connected to FreeCAD
over the Model Context Protocol. New to FreeCAD? Learn as you create. Already a pro?
Go faster.

What it does:
- Show it, don't describe it. Mark the model on the CADWiz panel -- point, circle,
box, highlight, line, freehand curve, arrow, measure, note -- press Show, and the
assistant sees exactly that view, those marks and that selection. Marks are anchored
to the model, so they stay put as you turn it.
- Helps with FreeCAD's headaches. A Problems-and-fixes list shows what is wrong with
the model in plain words and offers to have the assistant fix it.
- A time machine. The user's file is backed up before the first change, every change
is saved as a full version (restore, compare, checkpoint), and CADWiz never deletes
  anything.
- Safe by design. Model-written FreeCAD code runs in a separate, windowless FreeCAD on
a copy, never in the user's window; the result comes back as one undo step, and
Cancel takes back the whole build.
- Made for 3D printing. Checks a part against the user's own printer and material,
exports each part as its own print-ready file, and checks a sliced G-code file
(real G-code, bed and nozzle temperatures, complete) before it reaches the printer.
- Meshes too: mesh import, repair, editing and part swaps, with Blender running in
  the background (no window).
- Technical drawings: front/top/side/3D views with dimensions and a title block.

Privacy and connections: CADWiz itself makes no paid AI calls and sends no user data
anywhere. It opens one local connection (127.0.0.1) for the assistant app on the same
computer. "Report a problem" shows exactly what would be sent and sends nothing unless
the user presses Send.

Status: beta [version]; [N] testers since [date]; what works and what doesn't: [link].
Tested on Windows 10/11 with FreeCAD 1.1.3 and 1.1.4; Mac and Linux early -- testers
welcome. License: LGPL-2.1-or-later, SPDX headers throughout. Dependency: mcp
(requested for the allow list: [link to the package issue]). Checks on every change:
unit and contract tests, a headless FreeCAD load check, an MCP handshake, a network
allow-list check, a secrets scan, and Bandit [link].

Try it, break it, tell us what you'd fix -- there's a Report a problem button inside
CADWiz. I'll gladly work through anything the team needs changed.
