The payload names no files, classes or tests, so start by finding how the launcher currently loads and draws app icons in the Kotlin codebase. Then check how an app's dynamic icon variants are exposed to a launcher on Android, and which launcher-side APIs would need to support them. Done means the launcher shows an app's alternate icon when that app provides one. Design choices, such as how to pick the icon and whether to refresh it, need maintainer input before coding.

Feature description
Some apps support dynamic icons. I.E. a calendar (aCalendar+) icon shows the current date instead of the default app icon when the launcher supports this feature.
I would like to have the Fossify Launcher show dynamic icons.
Why do you want this feature?
It is very practical. Apps offer additional functionality through the, otherwise static, icon.
