Línea de trabajo

Start with .github/workflows/release.yml and the README's JavaScript section; read CONTRIBUTING.md for the repository's checks. Update the release workflow to generate package metadata for each target, run npm publish --dry-run, and publish with provenance only when NPM_TOKEN is available. Done when the dry run lists only package files, the README documents the install line, and a release succeeds without a token.

Context

Releases attach externalize-wasm-<version>-web.tar.gz and -nodejs.tar.gz, but wallets install packages from npm. Without a package, every integrator re-hosts the files by hand.

Scope
  • Generate a package.json (name, version from the tag, type, main, types, files, license) for each target in .github/workflows/release.yml.
  • Publish with npm publish --provenance when an NPM_TOKEN secret exists, skipping otherwise (as setoff-engine does for crates.io).
  • Document the install line in the README's JavaScript section.

Out of scope: Changing the WASM API.

Done when
  • A dry run (npm publish --dry-run) in the release job lists only the package files.
  • With no token configured, the release still succeeds.

Comment to be assigned before starting. Read CONTRIBUTING.md for the checks this repository runs.
