Línea de trabajo

The request is for UniGetUI to install its own available updates automatically, but it does not identify implementation files, tests, or update behavior to change. Start by tracing how the app detects and installs its own updates, then define when automatic installation should happen and verify the behavior across supported update scenarios.

Describe the improvement

unigetUI is literally perfect but there's one thing that i would like to become improved.

the update of unigetUI to v2026.3.3.0 is ready to be installed. so far, so good. but why doesn't unigetUI install it automatically on their own? it does perfectly auto-install all the apps listed in winget-pkgs, but why not itself?

thank you guys for fulfilling my wish. since 2026.3.3.0 i can use UniGetUI (unigetUI) on windows server 2022 too!

i got flabbergasted by all the updates popping up in unigetUI which used to be empty for quite a time.

now only 2 things are left with python not being able to get major updates installed only minor updates which is the fault of winget (although there could be a way to solve this through some code changes in unigetUI): sometimes unigetUI takes more than half of my screen and i have to resize it everytime, and the seond is the one click on tray-icon can minimize the window too. https://github.com/Devolutions/UniGetUI/issues/4442

Describe how this improvement could help users

i don't have to access every PC with rustdesk for simply updating a minor-update of unigetUI, they do it on their own.

i would like to paste here all my unigetUI settings i did on all my client's PCs so that you see how perfectly a Windows-PC can be configured the way it can handly everything on their own.

compared to those times with windows xp i can assure now everyone that windows with the help of several programs is closely as good as linux working automatically and autonomically and i'm a big fan of it (less time-consuming work, i can focus on other projects).
