Línea de trabajo

This is a design question, and the payload names no source files or tests. Read the linked mcpc README and the x402.cow.fi openapi to understand the upto and batch schemes. The open question is what owner limits to enforce before either scheme is signed. Done means a written design agreed in the thread, not code.

Descripción

The SDK signs only exact (EIP-3009). Two other schemes are now live, and both need owner-side limits defined before we sign them:

  • upto (Permit2 PermitWitnessTransferFrom). Apify's mcpc uses it. The agent signs a max cap and the facilitator settles accumulated usage later. mcpc's first use grants USDC.approve(PERMIT2, MAX_UINT256) (mcpc README).
  • batch (payment channels). CoW Protocol's quote API at x402.cow.fi uses it: a deposit or top-up, then cumulative vouchers per request (openapi).

What Agent Safe would need to enforce:

  • upto: a pinned spender and payee, a max per-signature cap no larger than maxPerTx, and no unlimited ERC-20 approvals (approve exactly what the plan allows, or use per-permit amounts).
  • batch: a pinned receiver, a deposit cap counted against the plan and the period budget when deposited (not when vouchers are signed), cumulative-voucher monotonicity, and a cap on total voucher value per channel.

Out of scope until the design is agreed: signing either scheme. Input from people running these schemes is welcome.
