Línea de trabajo

The payload names no files, so begin by finding the existing task feed, search filters and any current post model in this TypeScript repository. The work covers a new Create Post button and form with required-field validation, a confirmation screen, and saving the post so it appears in the feed and under a Pet Care category in search. Done when a post with the required fields can be published and shows up in both places.

Problem to solve

Parents juggling work, school pickups, and activities often can’t find time to walk, feed, or watch the family dog. Right now there’s no way to put that need into the app, so people looking for work have nothing to browse and parents have no quick way to ask for help.

Desired outcome

A parent can open the app, tap “Create Post,” fill out a short form in under a minute, and publish a task (like “Dog sitting Saturday 9am-3pm”) that immediately appears in the task feed. Posting should be quick enough to do between other things, like in a pickup line or on a lunch break.

Proposed solution

Add a “Create Post” button (floating action button or top of the feed) that opens a simple form.

Required fields:

Name of the community service/task (e.g., “Dog sitting for the afternoon”)
Location (address or neighborhood where the dog sitting happens)
Poster’s name (auto-filled from profile, editable)
Contact info (phone or email)
Pay (dollar amount or reward)

Optional fields:

Task picture or emoji to make the post stand out in the feed (e.g., 🐶 for dog sitting)
Map popup that links to the user’s map app so helpers can see where the task is and how to get there
Participant count with a dropdown showing how many people have signed up, with an expandable list of their profiles so a parent can see who’s coming to their home

Required fields are clearly marked, the “Post” button stays disabled until they’re filled in, and a confirmation screen appears after publishing. Posts use the same data the filters rely on (location, category, pay), so a new dog sitting post shows up in search right away, for example under a “Pet Care” category.
