Línea de trabajo

Start by locating the bot movement and placement validation, furniture collision footprints, and depth sorting or sprite anchor logic; the issue does not name files or tests. Compare the desk footprint with bot positions and rendering around large furniture, while checking supported chair and desk interactions. Done means regression coverage verifies solid furniture blocks movement and placement, front/behind rendering is correct, and intentional seating still works.

Descripción

Report

I noticed a bot appearing under a table/object: “it looks like the bot can be under the table or object :P”.

The supplied screenshot shows the orange-haired bot labeled Grokliver Tree · GitHub partly occluded by the edge of a large wooden desk/table with a laptop, on a checkerboard floor. The avatar appears to overlap the furniture rather than clearly stand beside it.

Observed vs. unknown

  • Observed: apparent bot/furniture overlap and partial occlusion.
  • Not established: whether the bot actually occupies a solid furniture footprint, or whether draw order / sprite anchoring makes a valid position look wrong.
  • Exact movement sequence, room/object identifiers, device/browser, and reproducibility are not yet confirmed. This is a screenshot-based report, not a verified reproduction.
  • Screenshot is described here; it is not attached to this issue.

Investigation

Check collision footprints and movement/placement validation against the visible desk footprint, alongside depth sorting, sprite anchors, and occlusion around large objects. Distinguish unintended overlap from intentional seating or desk-use poses; do not fix this by forcing every bot to render above every object.

Acceptance criteria

  • Bots cannot stand or walk inside solid furniture footprints outside explicitly supported interactions.
  • Bots render with correct front/behind depth around tables, desks, and other large objects, without appearing embedded underneath them.
  • Intended chair/desk interactions and legitimate partial occlusion remain correct.
  • Add regression coverage for movement/placement near solid furniture and front/behind rendering, including an intentional seating/desk-use case.
