Línea de trabajo

This is an umbrella issue for #1024–#1028, not a single implementation task. Read those sub-issues and follow the suggested order: publish the gem in #1027, then implement the watch and paging work, followed by workflows and the separate gRPC executor gem. Done when all five sub-issues are closed, the README surface table lists every producer RPC the facade serves, and a real release installs with gem install flexiq.

Descripción

area/sdk-ruby area/wire enhancement epic P2

Why

#834 shipped a Ruby producer client (PR #1023). It covers enqueue, batch enqueue, job read,
cancel and queue counts over the JSON facade, uses only the Ruby standard library, and writes
the raw CBOR envelope itself, so its payloads match every other runtime's. That is the issue's
scope and nothing more. A Ruby process still cannot:

  • find jobs it holds no id for;
  • wait for a job without polling;
  • submit a workflow;
  • install the gem from RubyGems;
  • run a task.

Shape

Issue What Door
#1024 list_jobs / each_job with cursor paging GET /v1/jobs
#1025 watch_jobs, watch_queue, wait over Server-Sent Events GET /v1/jobs:watch
#1026 static-graph workflow submission and run reads POST /v1/workflows, GET /v1/workflows/{id}
#1027 publish to RubyGems: ruby-vX.Y.Z tags, trusted publishing release
#1028 an executor client, as a separate gem on the grpc gem flexiq.executor.v1 (gRPC only)

#1024 to #1026 stay inside the producer gem's rule: standard library only, JSON facade, the same
raw CBOR codec. #1028 deliberately breaks that rule, which is why it is a gem of its own: the
executor door has no HTTP binding, ever.

Suggested order:

  1. #1027 first. Until the gem is on RubyGems, every other item ships to nobody.
  2. #1025, then #1024. Waiting is the SHOULD-level gap; paging is MAY.
  3. #1026 and #1028 when someone needs them.

Done when

All five sub-issues are closed, the README's surface table lists every producer RPC the facade
serves, and gem install flexiq works from a real release.
