The upper bound <3.15 comes from the packaging metadata that declares the Python requirement, so start in whichever file the project uses (setup.py, setup.cfg or pyproject.toml) and find the specifier there. The issue asks whether that cap is needed, so confirm with a maintainer before editing, and check whether CI covers newer Python versions. Done means the specifier accepts Python 3.15 or the cap is documented as intentional, with the install still passing on the supported versions.

Description.

Hello, thanks for the new version that upgraded the Python requirements to newer versions.

But I have a question. Why you limited the max of Python to <3.15?

We use azure build images and they are updated and one day Python will be updated to 3.15 and the package will fail to install. We'll need to install a custom Python version just to meet the <3.15 requirement. It seems that the majority of the Python packages limits only the min version of Python and not the max.

If we take a look at it's dependencies from Microsoft we can see all of them just specify a min version

azure-core Python >=3.10
azure-mgmt-core Python >=3.9
azure-cli-core Python >=3.10.0

Thank you
