bug
Bug Description

The current Release Drafter workflow in .github/workflows/ is triggered by both pushes to main/master and the pull_request event with types: [closed].

The closed event is triggered whether a PR is merged or closed without merging. As a result, closing an unmerged PR can trigger an unnecessary Release Drafter workflow run, even though its changes were not accepted into the project.

Since the workflow already listens for pushes to main and master, the PR-close trigger may be redundant for updating the release draft.

Proposed solution: Remove the pull_request: types: [closed] trigger and rely on pushes to the target branches to update the release draft. Alternatively, if the PR trigger is required, restrict it to merged PRs.

Expected Behavior

Release Drafter should update the release draft based on changes accepted into the target branches, without running unnecessarily when a PR is closed without merging.

Actual Behavior

Closing a PR without merging triggers the Release Drafter workflow, resulting in an unnecessary workflow execution.

Additional Context

The workflow already listens for pushes to main and master, which normally occur when changes are merged into those branches. Removing the redundant trigger could simplify the workflow and avoid unnecessary runs.

Steps to Reproduce
  1. Open a pull request targeting main or master.

  2. Close the PR without merging it.

  3. Observe that the Release Drafter workflow is triggered by the pull_request: types: [closed] event.
