Description
What the feature is and who it's for
Today, you hear about incidents affecting your deployments or projects by email or on the Elastic Cloud status page. With this change, incident notifications can also go through notification connectors, such as Slack, PagerDuty, or webhooks. They also appear in the product next to the affected deployments and projects, so you don't have to watch or subscribe to the status page to know what affects you.
Value proposition
You can set up connectors so the owners of affected deployments and projects are notified about incidents. Connectors include channels such as Slack, PagerDuty, webhooks, and email (AutoOps notification connectors). Incidents also appear clearly in the product, next to the deployments and projects they affect.
Expected outcome
- Incidents appear clearly in the product for affected deployments and projects.
- Owners can be notified through notification connectors, such as Slack, PagerDuty, webhooks, or email.
