Research direction

Start at the password field behavior described in the issue and reproduce it by typing spaces between other password characters. Trace how each typed character is rendered or masked, then verify that a space is shown as a dot immediately and that the complete example a b c displays five dots while typing.

Description

Thanks a ton for building this great app! I just logged in with my eclispe.org account, and noticed that when I typed a space character into the password field, it shows up as a space initially, rather than a dot. It turns into a dot after the next character. For example, if my password is a b c then it would look like this as I typed:

Typed :a
Shown :*

Typed :a
Shown :*
Should:**

Typed :a b
Shown :***
Should:***

Typed :a b
Shown :***
Should:****

Typed :a b c
Shown :*****
Should:*****
