Research direction
Start by rerunning the exact open-PR uniqueness query shown in the issue, including the retry with --repo dotnet/android. If it succeeds and finds no matching PR, review the validated local commit 35ba67a83 and submit it; the issue lists the build and restore commands that passed. Done means the uniqueness check is confirmed and the changes are submitted only if no duplicate PR exists.
Written by the indexing model from the issue text.
Description
Skill run: update-androidsdk-packages
Run outcome: Failed — the mandatory exact open-PR uniqueness check could not execute, so no PR was opened.
Validated changes were found and committed locally on skill/update-androidsdk-packages-20261005 (35ba67a83):
- Android Emulator 37.1.11 → 37.2.12 (stable
channel-0), with verified SHA-256 hashes for Linux, Windows, macOS x64, and macOS arm64. - Aligned the shipped command-line-tools dependency/feed from 21.0 to the bootstrap catalog's existing 23.0 pin, including Linux, Windows, macOS x64, and macOS arm64 archives.
- Android NDK pins were left untouched.
Always-report notes: No newer stable platform level exists upstream beyond 37.2, the highest platform already present in _PlatformPackage. Platforms 37.0, 37.1, and 37.2 and their source packages are current.
Validation completed before the PR check:
dotnet build build-tools/Xamarin.Android.Tools.BootstrapTasks/Xamarin.Android.Tools.BootstrapTasks.csproj -v:minimal— passed.dotnet restore src/androidsdk/androidsdk.csproj— passed.dotnet build src/androidsdk/androidsdk.csproj --no-restore -v:minimalwith SDK/NDK/JDK/cache paths under/tmp/gh-aw/agent— passed with 0 warnings and 0 errors.- XML parsing, diff cleanliness, NDK/platform-catalog invariants, and Android license empty/preserve/malformed cases — passed (malformed content was rejected as expected).
Error: Both required uniqueness-check attempts returned malformed version: with exit code 1 and no PR data:
gh pr list --state open --base main --limit 100 --search '"[skill-runner]" "update-androidsdk-packages"' --json number, title, headRefName, body
The retry added --repo dotnet/android and failed identically. A human should rerun the exact uniqueness query; if no matching open PR exists, the validated commit can be submitted.
