Research direction

Read the hook implementation that checks added lines and its existing tests; the payload does not name their paths. Trace how it analyzes added blocks and calls to FromSqlRaw, ExecuteSqlRaw, and SqlQueryRaw, then run the hook tests. Done means both multiline call shapes and interpolated, concatenated, or formatted string variables are flagged, with large file checks staying under the 10 second timeout.

Description

bug hooks

What

The security guard checks each added line on its own, so var sql = $"... {id}"; db.Database.ExecuteSqlRaw(sql); and a FromSqlRaw( call split over several lines pass without a warning.

Why

Raw SQL built from strings is the guard's most valuable .NET rule, and both shapes are common.

Acceptance criteria

  • A string variable built with interpolation, concatenation or string.Format and later passed to FromSqlRaw, ExecuteSqlRaw or SqlQueryRaw in the same added block is flagged.
  • A call whose argument starts on the next line is flagged.
  • The hook still finishes well under its 10 s timeout on large files, with tests for both shapes.
