Research direction

The issue describes how whiteboard traces mix requirements and verification with architecture and guidance, but names no files, tests, or entry points. Start by locating how trace context and whiteboard sections are represented; clarify the intended separation before proposing changes. Done means requirements and verification can be distinguished from architecture and guidance in the trace workflow.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.

Description

right now agents will typically add a requirements section to the beginning of a whiteboard

i think this is often not that helpful, because trace context is really bucketed into two ideas:

  • requirements / verification -> these points need evidence attached
  • architecture / guidance -> these belong with either design / diagrams or as components in lenses

we mix both today and it's not to our benefit (since traces are all text)
