Research direction

This is a wishlist, not a single change: the issue asks for a comment naming a topic, its governing equation, and one hand-checkable result. Read docs/LOCAL_MODULES.md and the export:module npm script to see how a finished module becomes a pull request. Done means a comment that gives all three items for one of the listed ideas, or a module exported from a local build.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.

Description

community help wanted proposal

Instruments and courses people would like to see. Add a comment with the topic, the governing equation, and one result a reader can check by hand (that becomes the benchmark). If you have already built it privately, npm run export:module turns it into a pull request: see docs/LOCAL_MODULES.md.

Some starting ideas (none claimed):

  • coupled oscillators and normal modes
  • Fourier synthesis of a waveform
  • hydrogen spectrum and the Bohr model
  • radioactive decay and counting statistics
  • large-angle pendulum
  • heat diffusion in a rod
  • Brownian motion
  • refraction and a thin lens

Courses beyond the six MIT-aligned ones (other universities, AP and IB units, other languages' syllabi) go in the "Map your course" form or in a comment here.
