Research direction

The payload names no files or functions, so start by finding where the multi-satellite view draws predicted future passes in the C/GTK codebase. The issue offers three options (user-chosen colours, pass number labels, or fading successive passes) and does not pick one, so confirm the preferred approach with a maintainer before writing code. Done means future passes can be told apart on screen in the chosen way. The issue has had no comments in 830 days.

Description

To help differentiate the drawn future passes in the multi-satellite view, it would be helpful to visually distinguish them. This could be done through one of these means:

  1. Allowing the user to select the colors for some number of future passes
  2. Adding pass number labels near the passes
  3. Fading successive passes by making them more transparent.
