Research direction

The payload names no source file, test, or log; the only lead is the build warning about the Xcode 12 developer tools during the MacPorts install and the 'GPredict quit unexpectedly' crash at launch. Reproduce on macOS Monterey with the same Xcode 13 and MacPorts setup, then collect the crash report from Console and the build output. Done means identifying the failing launch cause and a documented or fixed macOS install path, which likely needs a maintainer's input first.

Description

On Mac Mini running MacOS Monterey - I just installed Xcode 13, the developer tools, accepted the license agreement, installed MacPorts, installed XQuartz and installed Gpredict. During the Gpredict install messages kept appearing that the XCode 12 developer tools weren’t installed and thus Gpredict might not compile correctly.

The install finished but when I run Gpredict it bombs with the “GPredict quit unexpectedly” message. Thoughts?
