Research direction

Start by reading ci.yml and ci-gpu.yml, focusing on the workflow_call inputs and the test matrix strategy. Add the optional fail_fast input with the stated default and forwarding behavior, then confirm consumers can set it to false while the default preserves current behavior.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.

Description

Context

The test matrix of ci.yml (Julia versions × runners) uses the GitHub default fail-fast: true: the first failing job cancels the others. For a weekly cron that publishes one report per platform (OptimalControlProblems.jl#305), the cancelled platforms upload nothing: after an ubuntu failure, the Windows report was lost (seen in OptimalControlProblems.jl run 42012648736), so a failure on one platform hides the state of the others.

Requested interface

An optional workflow_call input fail_fast (boolean, default true, i.e. current behaviour) on ci.yml, forwarded by ci-gpu.yml, used as strategy.fail-fast. Consumers that collect per-platform reports pass false.
