Research direction

Start with README.md, docs/install.md, and adapters/generic/README.md, then run install.sh --list to confirm the dedicated aider adapter and its generated files. Update the compatibility and installation guidance to route Aider through --adapter aider, including wiring and uninstall steps for .aider.conf.yml, and verify the documented uninstall removes all generated files.

Description

dogfood P2

Adapter: aider
Install path: main 829f516 (docs also unchanged in npm 1.5.0)

Exact command

bash /workspace/si-dogfood/kiara/coco/install.sh --list | grep aider
grep -n -i aider README.md docs/install.md
# uninstall per docs/install.md (only codex/generic are covered): rm AGENTS.md, then diff vs pre-install snapshot

Expected: Aider users are pointed at the adapter that exists for them, and docs/install.md has install, wiring and uninstall steps for it.

Actual: install.sh --list shows a dedicated aider adapter ("Generates .aider.conf.yml and AGENTS.md for Aider CLI"). README's System Compatibility table (Aider / Cline / Windsurf → generic), docs/install.md "At a glance" (generic … Aider, Continue, Windsurf, Cline) and adapters/generic/README.md all route Aider to generic and never mention --adapter aider. docs/install.md has no aider section and no uninstall line for .aider.conf.yml, so the documented uninstall leaves that file behind.

Output

aider Generates .aider.conf.yml and AGENTS.md for Aider CLI agent with Coco skills, agents, and rules
README.md:691:
Aider / Cline / Windsurf

README.md:692:

generic

docs/install.md:26: | `generic` | file generation | `./AGENTS.md` (cwd) | overwrites | Aider, Continue, Windsurf, Cline |
--- diff pre-install vs post-uninstall (main-aider)
> project/.aider.conf.yml F 3f56811cfbbf017494b7d37fc1ce737a
--- (npm-aider, after rm AGENTS.md + npx [email protected] uninstall)
> project/.aider.conf.yml F 141982c41c6d934a21a3ac29f12802dd

Same pattern as #212, which covers windsurf/cline/roo-code. This one is aider.
