Documentation Gap

docs/skills/blog-management.md:27-28 states an explicit invariant: the author dropdown in the blog post issue template "must stay in sync with blog/authors.yml". It is currently out of sync at main@00b44df:

  • blog/authors.yml defines 7 authors: castrojo, caniszczyk, idvoretskyi, jeefy, krook, mrbobbytables, nate-double-u (full entry with name, image, email, github at blog/authors.yml:54-62)
  • .github/ISSUE_TEMPLATE/blog-post.yml:48-54 dropdown lists only the first 6 — nate-double-u is missing

Verified by direct comparison of both files (2026-09-16). No open issue or PR covers this.

Impact

A community blog submission authored by Nate Waddington (nate-double-u, CNCF staff) cannot be filed through the documented submission path with the correct author — the template's required dropdown has no valid option, contradicting the skill doc's stated sync rule.

Recommendation

Add nate-double-u to the dropdown options in .github/ISSUE_TEMPLATE/blog-post.yml.
