Research direction

The issue describes missing camera records for brands with verified RTSP patterns, but does not name data files, tests, or entry points. Start by locating the brand and camera seed data and reading the repository’s existing records and validation workflow. Done means adding sourced camera records and verified RTSP configurations for remaining gaps; the issue notes several brands are blocked or have weak sourcing.

Context

Brands with an RTSP-patterns reference page but no camera records. Recomputed against the current dataset (RTSP layer 183 brands / 120 verified; cameras now 156 brands / 11,683 cameras).

Alias/slug matches that are NOT real gaps: wisenet→hanwha, panasonic→i-pro, tp-link→tapo, samsung→hanwha, unifi→ubiquiti, merit-lilin→lilin, arecont→arecont-vision, 2n-helios→2n.

Progress (2026-09-10, on release/2.18.0) — 16 brands seeded, +70 cameras

Batch 1 (9): Messoa (5), PLANET (5), Nuvico (5, NDAA), Vitek (5, NDAA), American Dynamics/Illustra (6), Brickcom (5), Siqura (5, NDAA), BEWARD (6), TRENDnet (2).
Batch 2 (7): Neutron (5, Uniview-OEM), Genie (5, NDAA), ALLNET (4, Uniview-OEM), RVi (4, Dahua-lineage, spec-light), Fanvil (3, door intercoms), SANNCE (3), 2N (2, door intercoms).

All from official datasheets, each with its verified RTSP config. ndaa_compliant set true only where the maker states it (Siqura/Vitek/Nuvico/Genie/some AD); OEM rebrands (Neutron/ALLNET/RVi/Advidia/Alibi/Anpviz/TruVision) left omitted per methodology; HiWatch would be false (Hikvision sub-brand) once sourced.

Remaining verified-RTSP + zero cameras (33)

Blocked — official source not fetchable (need a browser/JS-render pass or local datasheet PDFs): advidia (timeout), alibi (Cloudflare 403), anpviz (login-gated datasheets), hiwatch (domain dead, not on hikvision.com), levelone (robots-blocks ClaudeBot), surveon (DNS-unreachable), 3svision (camera line defunct), truvision (firesecurityproducts.com JS-SPA), sercomm, revotech, compro, loryta.

Defunct / EOL (archive-only): cisco, jvc, iq-eye, q-see, y-cam, motorola, interlogix.

Budget/app-only (thin or no official datasheets — low-yield): airlive, db-power, dericam, eversecu, hosafe, sricam, sunba, tenvis, v380, vstarcam, wansview, xmeye, xvision, zosi.

Plus ~44 unverified-RTSP zero-camera brands (lower priority — RTSP path itself unconfirmed).
