Research direction

No files, tests, or entry points are named in the issue. Start by locating the Boost.Python conversion code for native boost::filesystem::path and review how existing path or path-like objects are handled on Windows and Unix. Done means native paths no longer require conversion to strings before being exposed as Path or path-like objects.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.

Description

It would be helpful for dealing with path on windows or unix that aren't correctly represented as valid string. Instead of trying to convert them to string use OS-dependent conversion to Path ot path-like object.
