Research direction

Read app/lib/core/services/home_widget_service.dart and trace how it gets the rider’s unit and localized text; then inspect the Android widget providers and app/ios/ThrottleIQWidget/ThrottleIQWidget.swift to see how values are displayed. Add the requested formatting unit test in the service test suite and run scripts/check.sh. Done when widget values use the selected km/mi setting, text is localized, and the quality gate passes.

Description

dart enhancement help wanted translation

What's wrong / what's wanted

The home-screen widget text is English-only and always uses km, even when the rider chose Bangla or miles. In-app alerts already follow the km/mi choice.

Where

  • app/lib/core/services/home_widget_service.dart
  • app/android/app/src/main/kotlin/com/bft/throttleiq/ (widget providers)
  • app/ios/ThrottleIQWidget/ThrottleIQWidget.swift

Acceptance criteria

  • Values the app writes for the widgets use the rider's unit
  • Text is passed from Flutter (localized) or localized natively
  • Unit test for the formatting in home_widget_service.dart

How to verify

Check on an Android emulator or iOS simulator home screen with Bangla and miles selected.

Run scripts/check.sh from the repo root (the same quality gate CI runs). It must pass.
