Research direction

Start at the firepython.middleware.FirePythonWSGI entry point and compare its initialization with Django 1.2's middleware loading shown in django/core/handlers/base.py. Reproduce the reported configuration using the django.wsgi setup and verify that the WSGI application starts without the constructor TypeError under Django 1.2 alpha 1.

Description

Here is my config:
Django version: 1.2 alpha 1 - latest trunk
MIDDLEWARE_CLASSES: firepython.middleware.FirePythonWSGI
Server: Apache 2 on Ubuntu with mod_wsgi

django.wsgi:

import os
import sys

sys.path.append(os.path.abspath(os.path.dirname(__file__)))
os.environ['DJANGO_SETTINGS_MODULE'] = 'settings'

import django.core.handlers.wsgi
application = django.core.handlers.wsgi.WSGIHandler()
