Research direction

Start by locating emit_drag_value_change and reading how it applies SoftLimit and NumberInputWrap; compare that behavior with the typed value path. Skip the soft clamp when wrapping is enabled, then verify that dragging wraps at the ends while non-wrapping inputs still respect their soft limits.

What you did

Created a number input with both a soft limit and wrap options.

What went wrong

emit_drag_value_change clamps to the SoftLimit before applying NumberInputWrap. So an input with both the slider look and wrap stops at its ends while dragged, even though typed values wrap.

Fix: skip the soft clamp when wrapping.
