Research direction

Read the Android app’s intent handling, New session sheet, prompt attachment flow, and server connection flow. Start by tracing how the app currently creates a session and attaches images, then check how incoming ACTION_SEND data can reach those entry points. Done means shared text and images are preserved through setup, editable before sending, and retained while connecting to a server.

Problem

Starting a session from something found in another app (a GitHub issue link, a stack trace, a screenshot of a bug) means copying it, opening the app, creating a session and pasting it.

Proposal

Register OpenCode as an Android share target (ACTION_SEND for text/plain and image/*, optionally ACTION_SEND_MULTIPLE for images).

  • Sharing opens the app with the "New session" sheet; the user picks project, agent and model as usual.
  • Shared text or link is prefilled in the prompt, editable before sending.
  • Shared images are attached to the prompt like the chat's existing attachments.
  • Without a paired server, the app asks to connect first and keeps the shared content.
Alternatives

Copy and paste by hand, as today.

Split out of #8, whose home screen widget part shipped in #67.
