Research direction

Start by reading collectRequestHandler and the existing tests for how User-Agent data is parsed and stored in blob2. Add an opt-in setting that preserves the current default and writes an empty string to blob2 when enabled, while retaining the derived browser and device fields. Done looks like a test covering both setting values and a README note explaining the option.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.

Description

Problem

collectRequestHandler stores the full User-Agent header in blob2 of every data point. In 3.4.1 no dashboard query reads blob2: the reports use the fields parsed at collection time (browser name, masked browser version, device type and model). For operators in the EU, keeping the full header for the three-month Analytics Engine retention is hard to justify under the GDPR data-minimisation principle.

Proposal

An opt-in setting (a variable that defaults to the current behaviour) that writes an empty string to blob2 while still parsing the header for the derived fields. The blob layout stays the same, so existing queries keep working.
