Base Dashboard "Register App" redirects to existing project and prevents creating a new App ID

Start with the Base Dashboard app selector and Register App flow described in the reproduction steps, then inspect the redirect behavior and Network panel for the missing app-creation request. Compare the registration route with the existing-project route. Done means a user with one existing app can register a second app, receive a new App ID, and continue domain verification.

Description

I'm unable to register a second app in the new Base Dashboard.

I already have an existing app called GM Base registered under my Base account. I now want to register another app called Base Daily.

From the Base Dashboard, I click my existing app name in the top-left corner and select Register App.

The registration page appears for approximately 1–2 seconds, but then automatically redirects me back to my existing GM Base project.

Because of this redirect, I cannot proceed with the registration flow or create a new App ID.

Steps to reproduce

1. Sign in to Base Dashboard.
2. Have an existing registered app/project.
3. Click the current app name in the top-left app selector.
4. Select Register App.
5. The registration page appears briefly.
6. The Dashboard automatically redirects back to the already registered project.

Expected behavior

The Register App option should allow me to create a second app and generate a new App ID so I can continue with the domain verification flow.

Actual behavior

The registration page appears for approximately 1–2 seconds and then redirects to my existing GM Base project. I cannot create the new App ID.

Testing

I reproduced the issue with:

• Chrome
• Chrome Incognito
• Microsoft Edge InPrivate

I also inspected the Network panel. Clicking through the registration flow did not appear to result in an app-creation request before the redirect.

Reproduced by others

I reported this issue in the Base Discord developer forum.

Another Base ecosystem developer reproduced the same behavior and reported:

"same problem with me. I think it's a base dashboard problem."

The issue was then escalated to a Base team member, who also reproduced it and responded:

"thanks for reporting. I'm gonna flag this to our DevRel team since the issue appears on my side as well."

App details

New app: Base Daily
Existing app: GM Base
Production domain: base-daily-three.vercel.app

The Base Daily app itself is already deployed and publicly accessible. The blocker is specifically the Base Dashboard registration / App ID creation flow.

Environment

• Windows 11
• Chrome and Microsoft Edge
• Tested in normal and private browser sessions
• Base account already contains one registered app: GM Base

Could the Base team please investigate the Register App → existing project redirect behavior?

If there is a supported workaround or direct route for creating another App ID while this Dashboard issue is being fixed, that would also be very helpful.
