Research direction

Open install-dev-tools.sh and inspect the Helm installer download and execution path. Verify the existing get-helm-4 URL, installer variables, and error handling, then confirm that a partially downloaded script is never executed and that a fully successful download still installs Helm as before.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.

Description

install-dev-tools.sh pipes the upstream get-helm-4 script straight into bash:

curl -sSfL "$HELM_INSTALLER" | HELM_INSTALL_DIR="$BIN_DIR" USE_SUDO=false bash

If the download is interrupted partway, bash can start executing a truncated script instead of failing cleanly the way curl -f already does for a completed bad response. Downloading to a temp file first and then running that file keeps the same installer, the same floating get-helm-4 URL, and the same behavior -- it only runs once the download has fully succeeded.
