Research direction

Start by locating how archinstall exposes installation options and builds the package list, then identify where an optional codec bundle could be selected. Confirm which Arch packages count as necessary for daily media use and define completion as the option installing that agreed set without affecting installations that leave it disabled.

Description

describe the request

I love how other Arch forks come with codecs are pre-installed so that I can just open YouTube and watch videos smoothly without troubleshooting what is wrong.

Please add an option to install all codecs that are necessary for daily usage.
