Research direction

Start by reviewing the earlier issue #7229 and locating the trimming function used by the Transforms component. Check how it handles non-breaking spaces and compare that with Java's whitespace behavior. Done means trimming removes NBSP as expected; the issue does not name a file or test, so identify the relevant test before making a change.

What happened?

Hi,

I had created the following issue #7229 [Bug]: JSONinput trim doesn't remove non breakable space (NBSP).

Today I encountered the exact same problem, even though this bug shoudl have been resolved nowadays.
It appears that Java doesn't treat non breakable spaces as whitespace characters, and so it doesn't trim them.

Maybe non breakable spaces could be added to the trimming function?
